Beyonce Knowles talked with Cosmopolitan UK March 2009. Here is an excerpt:
On keeping her relationships private: “There are certain things that are kind of obvious, and if you start talking, the questions will never stop. I think there’s more to life than sharing it with everyone … At school, if I dated someone, I didn’t tell everyone. I fee like if everyone knows my stuff, it’ll take the beauty and pureness out of it.”
On her wedding to Jay-Z: “I’ve never been the girl who went to a wedding and thought, ‘Oooh, I want to get married.’ So I didn’t want anything big and dramatic [for my wedding day] … And I think that people can put way too much emphasis on the day. It’s just so temporary and it goes in a second … I think it’s important for women to have their moment, whether it’s your prom or your birthday … but to me, marriage is not about that moment. It’s about something way deeper.”

In what is the alternative cover of the March issue of Vibe Magazine, singer Keyshia Cole and her biological mother Frankie cover the annual Style Issue.
Keyshia was interviewed in Los Angeles where she discussed the changes in her life — from her style and attitude to her new teeth — and why she is working on becoming a better person. Both Keyshia and Frankie talk fashion:
Keyshia on Fashion
..She is “getting turned off by the names, the print [logos] and all that” comes with designer fashion. She says, “I got money now. I don’t have to prove to anybody that I have money by wearing a handbag.”
Frankie on Fashion
“I love Payless, the ghetto mall, and the flea market. Payless got the same thing as Louis Vuitton, except Louis Vuitton is a bigger name…”

Here’s the first look at Kanye West’s first ever solo VIBE cover. Looking rather serious I might add…maybe because his barber decided not to show uo for the shoot. Anyway, here are a few excerpts from the mag:
Kanye on being deemed a violent person because of his paparazzi experience…
“I haven’t done anything violent. They make it seem like I actually went and hit the paparazzi. I haven’t. I was restrained. I’m good at restraining myself from committing violent acts. I know how to control my temper. That one paparazzo made it a bigger deal. I just put my hand up and he felt like he had more right to my personal space than I did. I put my hand up to stop him from shooting me.”Kanye on 808’s being his best album…..
“I do think it’s my best album to date. No, I actually know this is my best album to date. Do I think it will be my best album ever? No, Ill improve. Do I think there are mistakes in it? Yes. There has to be. I’m a human being. But I think it surpasses Graduation. These 12 tracks are going to resonate more than any 12 tracks of any album this year.”
The King, Mr. Clifford Harris, covers the Winter 08-09 cover of Rap-Up Magazine with brand spankin’ new photos and exclusive interviews. In the issue T.I. reflects on the biggest year of his career, his impending jail sentence, the effect it will have on his family, and how the King always gets his way.. It is a double cover issue with Christina Milian on the other cover, but she’s not that important to me, so the kid gets left behind.
On how his children are going to deal with his time in prison: “My oldest is 12—she understands. She’s strong and smart. The three weeks I was in, before I got to come home, she said to me, ‘Don’t worry. I’ll hold things down ’til you get back.’ I’m more worried about how my boys are going to deal.”
On what it would take for him to be conceited like Kanye West: “Selling a billion. At about a billion, I think I’d be pretty hard to deal with.”
On winning awards: “No disrespect to Kanye, but that kinda stuff just don’t mean nothing to me. Whether or not I win an award, I mean that’s nice, but at the end of the day I understand that I’m a man. What being a man means to me is not defined by an award or an amount of records sold.”
Queen Bey knew what she was talking about when she made that song Diva… “Diva is the female version of the hustler”…you damn right girl ’cause you been hustlin’ like a mofo these past couple months. If there is a magazine that you haven’t been featured in I don’t know about because I been posting them all. Girl, do the damn thang and keep on hustlin’ ’cause I’ll never get tired of you!

This time our sista graces the cover of Giant Magazine, and there is no doubt she is in pure Sasha Fierce mode. Sporting dramatic dark eye make-up and fishnets, the singer opens up more about her once private relationship with Jay-Z and drops this quote about their varying performance style:
“Jay is so cool. He can just stand on stage completely still, and the audience will go nuts”. “Me? I have to work it. I’m shaking it and throwing it and rolling around on the floor.”

Everyday I’m hustling, everyday I’m hustling…If she’s not on TV, she’s on a mag and you can’t hate the swag, even though most of y’all love to hate her. Beyonce’s probably done more magazine covers this year than most relevant R&B female artists put together, really.
