Keri Hilson’s ‘Perfect World’ pushed back again

Originally expected this summer then before the end of the year, Keri Hilson’s long-in-the-works solo debut, “In a Perfect World,” has now been pushed to early 2009. The set will be released by Zone 4/Mosley Music Group/Interscope.

The album features production from Polow Da Don, Roy Hamilton, Timbaland, Royal Court and Danja Handz, as well as co-production from R&B artist/producer Tank. Guest features include Timbaland and Lil Wayne.

Beyond the singles “Energy” and “Return the Favor” featuring Timbaland, the album includes the seductive “Turning Me On,” the stern “Intuition” (“Dudes think they’re slick / got a lot of girls on they’re d*cks / but I’m not the silly girl I used to be”) and the Grace Jones-sampling “Do It To Me Radio.”

T.I. and Beyonce hold down the top of the charts

T.I. remains ‘King’ of the charts for the seventh week with some competition from Beyonce and Rihanna. Holding tight at No. 1 is T.I.’s hit single “Whatever You Like” which reached No. 1 earlier this month. Just one spot below the Hot 100 hit, T.I.’s new single featuring Rihanna entitled “Live Your Life” slides in at No. 2 this week, besting Beyonce’s new single “If I Were A Boy.”

 ”If I Were A Boy,” the first single from Beyonce’s third studio album “I Am… Sasha Fierce,” lands at No. 3 this week on the strength of 190,000 downloads according to Nielsen Soundscan.

Music News: Beyonce + Solange Tour together, Eminem returns to the game

Last week, Matthew Knowles broke the news that Beyoncé will embark on a 110-date world tour that will begin in April 2009 and trek through Canada, Europe, the U.S. (with a one-week stint in Las Vegas), Mexico, South America, Japan, Africa, and Australia. But what you didn’t hear was that Beyoncé won’t be the only Knowles on the road.

Discussions are under way for Solange to join her big sis’ on tour. After seeing the elder Knowles rock arenas, fans would be able to go to a more intimate location and watch Solange perform at an official “after-party.” Specific details have yet to be announced.

Beyoncé is scheduled to release her third album I Am… on November 18th, while Solange’s sophomore release SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams is available now. SOURCE

Eminem makes a comeback

In a new interview with BBC Radio 1 to promote his book The Way I Am, Eminem takes listeners through a retrospective of his career and speaks about his late friend Proof, his love for T.I.’s Paper Trail, working closely with Dr. Dre on his new album, and voting for  Barack Obama..

Eminem will release his sixth studio LP Relapse later this year.

Bey season continues….with a CD coming out on November 18, Cadillac Records movie due out in early December 2009 and another movie Obsessed with Idris Elba due out in February 2009, what else could she possibly do? It’s a takeover I say…and it’s cool with me.
Here she’s covering the November issue of Instyle Magazine. She’s such a fashionista and so fly. It looks like she going for the more natural look with hair and makeup.
